Breath is the great gate-way for the third eye activation. Third Eye is synonymous with the Essence of Soul.
When we are with our breath energy we empty our mind to let the cosmic energy to freely flow in.
No mantra is to be chanted. No form of any deity is to be entertained. Hatha yogic pranayama practices like holding one's breath... i.e., 'kumbhaka' should never be attempted.
Only one thing counts, that is the breath. In the matter of the breath too unnatural and artificial practices are not allowed. Witnessing the natural, normal, easy, soft breathing only that is allowed.
The mind has to be with the breath. That is the bottom-line. If the mind is not with the breath, the mind does not become empty.
When we are with the breath-energy, the mind becomes rather empty. Then, there is a tremendous in-flow of cosmic energy into the physical body. Gradually, the hitherto dormant third-eye begins to become activated. And, by and by, cosmic consciousness gets to be experienced.
Spirituo-Scientific Temper demands that we spend four to five hours everyday with our own selves, closing our eyes and observing our breath!
Meditation can be done in any comfortable sitting posture. Hands should be clasped and eyes closed. Routine thoughts of the mind should be cut right away, as and when they arise, and attention should constantly be brought back to the chosen task at hand, i.e., being consciously with the breath.
It is all within! And as everything is within, we have to close our eyes to the world around and we have to observe the breathing that connects us to Cosmic Energy.
We urgently need to quieten our minds ... empty our minds ... through consciously attaching ourselves to the energy of the Breath... and that will change our entire lives.
BREATH is our life. There is no life without Breath. Breath-Energy represents the supreme cosmic energy. Everyone requires this cosmic energy.. like plants, trees, animals, birds. Humans.. especially require this Breath-Energy.
How do we get to know the Breath-Energy? How to feel its essence? The way is to try to become very intimately aware of the natural flow of the Breath.
When we become one with this natural and easy Breath, automatically our mind begins to become rather empty. When the mind becomes more or less empty, we begin to get abundant inflow of cosmic energy.
Similar to our two physical eyes, we also have a 'third-eye' .. and like our physical body, we also have an 'astral body'. All this is understood only through the process of Breath Meditation.
When we learn to place our total and undivided attention on breath, it is called 'anapanasati meditation'. And with more and more practice of regular anapanasati meditation, we understand the total scope of the Science of Meditation.
Through meditation, we can 'see' our past and future. Knowing the main mile-stones of our past .. we come to understand that we have changed many bodies and that we have passed through many varied ups and downs during so many life-times of experiences.
When we realize that we are not body.. we are Soul. That means we begin to understand concepts like... 'We are everything' .. 'We are eternal' etc., etc. This whole subject is called as 'Soul Science.'
Through Breath-Energy we understand the grand science of meditation... and through the science of meditation alone we understand the Science of the Soul.
Only after having a firm grasp of 'Soul Science' can we begin to understand the basic elements of day-to-day life and living... how to speak... how to eat... how to feel... how to touch... how to walk. In fact in each and every activity of our life, one by one, we become proficient. All this is nothing but 'Enlightenment'. It is also called 'spirituality.'
Religion' means 're-ligate' .. that is to 're-unite'. Every religion is eternally based upon the same truth of 'Soul Science'.
With direct and personal soul-experience, we understand that we don't have any limitations or any type of boundaries.
As a fabric is woven from individual threads, the SOUL-ENTITY is woven from all the free-will inclinations and activities of its hoary life.
Yoga has got nothing to do with the practices involving the physical body. When the mind becomes one with the normal, natural breath, mind becomes thoughts-free.. and that is yoga.
